Start Moving.
Stop Stressing (so much). Start Discovering.
“All the suffering, stress, and addiction comes from not realizing you already are what you are looking for”
- John Kabat-Zinn, curator of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Dustin Taylor-Brown (he/him) is a master’s-trained Nurse Practitioner Psychotherapist and Yoga Therapist based in Grey County.
He discovered his love of nursing over a decade ago, around the same time he stepped into his first yoga class — and he’s been weaving these two healing practices together ever since.
Dustin earned his Master of Nursing (Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner) from the University of Toronto in 2023 and currently works in outpatient psychiatry (mental health and addictions support) across Grey-Bruce.
He also holds over 400 hours of certified training in Hatha yoga, therapeutic movement, and mindfulness meditation, with a focus on trauma-informed and mindfulness-based therapies. His training includes Applied Polyvagal Theory in Yoga for Trauma Recovery through The Embody Lab (2025) and certification in concurrent disorders management from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).
Dustin supports a wide range of clients in navigating stress, addiction, and inner turbulence, and he offers a special focus on queer-affirming care informed by both personal experience and professional training.
He believes deeply in the power of intentional breath, mindful movement, and a calm mind — and he’s passionate about helping others reconnect with these tools.
Services to Suit Your Intentions
Yoga and trauma informed somatic psychotherapy, stress management, and mental health counselling for LGBTQIA+ identifying individuals. These sessions are guided by yoga therapist Dustin Taylor-Brown, a queer identifying Nurse Practitioner living and working in rural Ontario (pronouns: he/him). Dustin knows first hand how tricky it can be to grow up and thrive as an LGTQIA+ individual in rural Ontario and he’s inviting you to work with him at his quaint home studio space in Neustadt, ON or virtually.
Emotions, trauma, and stress aren’t just stored in the mind — they live in the body, too. Also, stress is inevitable which is why each 75-minute yoga therapy session is part reflection and conversation, part movement and somatic psychotherapy experience, and is facilitated with an intent to befriend stress by discovering what it has to say.
We begin by getting to know you: your health history, your concerns, and the chronic stressors in your life. From there, we’ll work together to explore mental and physical practices that support internal focus, emotional balance, and new coping strategies.
You can expect some gentle time on the yoga mat if you're able — but don’t worry, this isn’t a workout class. We’ll take a fresh, supportive approach to managing your mental turbulence, and even have a little fun along the way. Chair yoga and props available as needed.
Dustin draws on the therapeutic techniques below to help you access lasting states of embodied self-awareness, self-embrace, and compassion.
Yoga Therapy for Mental Wellness
Private Yoga Sessions
Are you an individual experiencing stress and uncertain how to cope? Does your nervous system need a reset? Are you interested in developing a deeper understanding of yoga and how therapeutic yoga can sooth the nervous system? Meeting with Dustin and diving into therapeutic yoga techniques either one to one or in small group with your closest people (max 3 people) might be exactly what you need!
Private yoga and mindfulness meditation sessions can be a powerful tool for stress reduction, emotional regulation, and overall mental wellness. These 60-minute one-on-one sessions take a more traditional approach to yoga, tailored to your unique goals and energy.
Whether you're seeking greater self-acceptance, building emotional or physical resilience, or simply looking to move your body in a mindful way, Dustin will meet your nervous system where it’s at — with compassion and care.
Each session draws from Hatha Yoga and blends movement, meditation, and mindfulness techniques that support both body and mind. Some days may call for an energizing flow; others may invite a slower, more restorative pace. Together, we’ll choose what serves you best.

Dustin offers 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming somatic psychotherapy rooted in lived experience and professional care. Having grown up gay in rural Ontario himself, he understands how complex and isolating that journey can be — and he’s proud to offer a therapeutic space that is safe, supportive, and deeply affirming.
Through gentle movement, breathwork, and mindfulness-based practices, Dustin helps clients reconnect with their bodies and build emotional resilience. His approach may be especially helpful if you're seeking therapy that integrates both mind and body, and honours your identity in every step of the process.
Support is available for individuals aged 15 and up, virtually for now with in-person sessions coming soon to Dustin’s home studio in Neustadt, Ontario.
Ecotherapy
Connect with Dustin outdoors at his home studio on one of the various yoga platforms spread throughout 20 acres of lush forest. This form of forest-facilitated somatic psychotherapy has the ability to nurture the mind, calm stress & increase focus. Practice various body-based practices, mindfulness techniques, and breath-work outdoors. Dustin helps clients reconnect with the 5 yogic bodies (the Koshas) to build emotional resilience all while being held by the surrounding forest. This approach may be especially helpful if you're seeking therapy that integrates the natural world around you.
